UFC CEO and President Dana White has clarified that Ciryl Gane will be introduced as the undisputed heavyweight champion at UFC 334. The clarification corrects comments White made a day prior, where he stated Gane would have to fight for the vacant title rather than being recognized as the undisputed champion.
Gane is scheduled to defend his undisputed title against Josh Hokit this November in New York City. The championship vacancy arose after Tom Aspinall vacated the title due to ongoing eye issues resulting from an eye poke in his previous fight against Gane.
