UFC employee Sal Everett secured an official UFC promotional contract after scoring a first-round knockout over Ozzy Martin at Dana White's Contender Series at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. Everett, who serves as UFC CEO Dana White's personal runner, stopped Martin at 1:57 of the opening round with a powerful right hand in the co-main event.
Four fighters earned contracts on the night, including main event winner Preston LaGrange, who knocked out Nell Ariano in the first round. Roque Conceicao and Mateus Soares also earned contracts with first-round finishes, while opening-bout winner Alivia Bierley was not offered a deal despite a unanimous decision victory.
