Floyd Mayweather has announced he will return to the ring on December 19 in Bangkok to face Australian boxer Matt Floyd. The former multi-division world champion shared a fight poster on social media, referring to the exhibition contest as a tune-up ahead of a potential professional bout against WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia.
Garcia previously announced a February 6 date for a fight involving either Mayweather or Teofimo Lopez. The scheduled bout with Matt Floyd represents the fourth fight Mayweather has agreed to or announced this year, though previous plans involving Mike Tyson, Mike Zambidis, and Manny Pacquiao failed to materialize.
