Former BMF champion Jorge Masvidal has weighed in on the upcoming clash between Charles Oliveira and Diego Lopes.

Former BMF champion Jorge Masvidal has questioned the booking of Diego Lopes challenging Charles Oliveira for the BMF title at UFC 335. Speaking on "Deep Waters," Masvidal argued that Lopes should have fought another lightweight opponent first before immediately fighting Oliveira for the belt in his division debut. He suggested a rematch between Justin Gaethje and Oliveira would have made more sense.
Masvidal analyzed the matchup, noting that Lopes carries less mileage than Oliveira, whose chin has taken damage across a lengthy career. However, Masvidal highlighted Oliveira's well-rounded skill set, predicting the former lightweight champion could neutralize Lopes and potentially secure a stoppage using knees and front kicks.
