Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka revealed that the UFC announced his upcoming bout days before he officially signed the contract. Prochazka is scheduled to face Navajo Stirling in the main event of UFC Qatar in Doha on November 21. Although the promotion announced the matchup on September 29, Prochazka shared photos confirming he did not finalize the agreement until October 3.
In his first formal comments regarding the fight, Prochazka noted on Instagram that he was in his fifth week of preparation before officially putting pen to paper. Prochazka enters the contest looking to bounce back from a loss against Carlos Ulberg, while Stirling steps into his first UFC main event appearance.
