Michael Morales has issued a warning to rival Carlos Prates ahead of their scheduled interim welterweight title clash at UFC 336. The bout is set to serve as the co-main event at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on January 30, with both fighters stepping up to contend for the interim championship.
The matchup was arranged after undisputed welterweight champion Islam Makhachev became unavailable to defend his belt. UFC CEO Dana White criticized Makhachev for delaying the division, confirming Prates and Morales will now compete for the interim title.
