Joey Logano reflected on NASCAR's 10-race Chase scoring system after Kyle Larson maximized his points haul at Kansas. When asked by Bob Pockrass how teams failed to anticipate the system's drastic scoring swings, Logano quipped, "Maybe we're not as smart as we think." Larson earned a maximum 76 points at Kansas by sweeping both stages, securing the win, and recording the fastest lap.
Logano dropped to 20th after a late tire failure, collecting just 25 points and suffering a 51-point swing. With no elimination rounds to reset standings, Larson holds a 26-point lead over Hamlin, while Logano sits fourth, trailing by 67 points with six races remaining.
