Around the World, Paris and ‘giddiness’: The dawn of the Ant-Melo era in Minnesota

The Minnesota Timberwolves overhauled their roster this offseason by acquiring guard LaMelo Ball to partner with superstar Anthony Edwards. The move aims to alleviate Edwards' primary ballhandling burdens and inject new energy into the franchise. The backcourt tandem quickly bonded during the summer, organizing a team bonding trip to Paris alongside veteran center Rudy Gobert before showing strong chemistry during training camp and preseason action.

Minnesota altered its core by trading Julius Randle and Naz Reid while adding younger contributors like Jonathan Kuminga and Ayo Dosunmu. Head coach Chris Finch and team president Tim Connelly hope Ball's elite playmaking will generate efficient offense and allow Edwards to focus more energy on defense. Minnesota begins its regular season on Wednesday against the Miami Heat.
