The Dallas Mavericks have agreed to a two-way NBA contract with guard Walter Clayton Jr., sources told ESPN on Wednesday. Clayton joined Dallas after clearing waivers following his release by the Memphis Grizzlies ahead of the roster cut-down deadline.
The 23-year-old was selected 18th overall in the 2025 NBA draft after leading Florida to a national championship. He averaged 9.7 points and 5.7 assists in 24 games for Memphis last season, providing Dallas with valuable backcourt depth behind Kyrie Irving.
