The Atlanta Hawks have acquired forward Dorian Finney-Smith from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for guards Buddy Hield, Ryan Nembhard, and cash considerations. Hield had joined the Hawks in February 2026 from the Golden State Warriors, while Nembhard was acquired from the Dallas Mavericks in July 2026.
Finney-Smith, who is owed approximately $14.2 million this season, played 37 games for the Rockets last season following left ankle surgery. His contract includes a completely unguaranteed $13.3 million figure for next season. Hield and Nembhard earn a combined total of around $11.8 million, allowing the Hawks to shed future salary commitments.
