Report: Hawks trading veteran SG Buddy Hield to Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets are acquiring veteran shooting guard Buddy Hield from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for forward Dorian Finney-Smith, according to an ESPN report on Tuesday. As part of the trade, Charlotte will also receive point guard Ryan Nembhard and cash considerations, with the Hornets reportedly planning to waive Nembhard.

The deal creates trade exceptions of $2.1 million for Atlanta and $4.5 million for Charlotte. Charlotte marks the seventh NBA franchise for the 33-year-old Hield, who ranks 15th in NBA history with 2,201 career 3-pointers.
