Zuby Ejiofor wasn't prioritized minutes-wise in Atlanta's preseason opener, giving fans a glimpse at the nightly rotation.

Zach Langley of Soaring Down South argues that Atlanta Hawks rookie Zuby Ejiofor may face a wait to secure regular rotation minutes this season. In Atlanta's preseason opener against the Memphis Grizzlies, Ejiofor did not enter the game until late in the third quarter, despite absences from key rotation players CJ McCollum and Lu Dort.
The Hawks instead deployed a first-half bench featuring Aaron Wiggins, Jock Landale, Corey Kispert, and Asa Newell, before also giving second-half minutes to two-way guard Keshon Gilbert. Langley suggests the coaching staff currently shows more immediate confidence in frontcourt competitor Newell over Ejiofor.
