The Brooklyn Nets launched their inaugural 'Nets Fest' at the Major Owens Community Center, replacing their traditional 'Practice In The Park' event to celebrate the franchise and connect with local supporters. Players and alumni embraced the team's new motto, "Shock the World," as they prepared for the upcoming season following a difficult 20-62 campaign.
Current Nets players including Egor Demin, Mikel Brown Jr., and Julius Randle joined franchise alumni Kenyon Martin, Buck Williams, and Albert King for fan activations, clinics, and stage appearances. The roster urged fans to pack the arena ahead of their preseason opener against the Charlotte Hornets and the regular season start on October 21.
