Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen has been ruled out of Friday night's NBA Cup game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Allen suffered a right knee contusion during Wednesday's 124-116 defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Although initially listed as questionable, the team confirmed he will miss the matchup, per Kyle Neubeck of PHLY Sports.
Allen's absence leaves Cleveland shorthanded inside as they seek to rebound from consecutive losses and a 4-4 start to the season. The center is averaging 13.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game this year. In his absence, Evan Mobley and Peyton Watson are expected to carry increased defensive responsibilities.
