If he is going to miss more time, it's a tough blow for a Hornets team that was one of the biggest surprises last season, going 44-38 a year after finishing 19-63.

Charlotte Hornets wing Kon Knueppel suffered an apparent aggravation of his left hamstring injury, lasting just six minutes in his season debut against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. The Hornets officially attributed the 21-year-old's early departure to soreness in his left leg. Head coach Charles Lee did not have an immediate postgame update following Charlotte's fifth straight loss.
Knueppel had missed the team's first eight games before making his brief appearance, scoring three points from the free-throw line. The setback comes as a major blow for the 3-6 Hornets, who rely heavily on Knueppel after he finished as the NBA Rookie of the Year runner-up last season.
