Michael Jordan memorabilia from 1998 sells for record amount.

A game-worn, autographed Michael Jordan jersey from Game 2 of the 1998 NBA Finals has sold for $14 million. The private sale, facilitated by Hunt Auctions, sets a new all-time record as the most expensive piece of basketball memorabilia ever sold. Miami real estate investor Ron Firman was identified as the buyer of the iconic Chicago Bulls red road jersey.
Jordan scored 37 points in the jersey on June 5, 1998, leading Chicago to a 93-88 victory against the Utah Jazz. The sale represents the third Jordan jersey from the 1998 Finals to surpass $10 million, following his Game 1 jersey selling for $10.1 million and his Game 3 jersey fetching $12.3 million.
