The Dallas Mavericks are expected to retain center Moussa Cisse past October 1, fully guaranteeing the remainder of his $2,185,116 salary for the 2026/27 NBA season, according to Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News. His contract had already become partially guaranteed for $1,092,558 after he remained on the team's roster through September 1.
Cisse, a 6-foot-11 center who went undrafted in 2025 out of Memphis, played on a two-way deal with Dallas as a rookie. Over the summer, the restricted free agent signed a two-year, minimum-salary offer sheet with the New York Knicks, which the Mavericks chose to match. His $2.57 million salary for the 2027/28 season remains non-guaranteed.
