The Dallas Mavericks waived guards John Poulakidas and Seth Lundy on Saturday as they work to finalize their regular-season roster. Poulakidas had been signed to a two-way contract since February, while Lundy joined the team on a training camp deal in September. Following the moves, Dallas retains two players on two-way contracts, Jett Howard and Tobi Lawal, leaving one two-way roster spot open ahead of Monday's league deadline.
Dallas currently has 16 players on standard contracts, requiring at least one more move before opening the season on October 21 against the Houston Rockets. Center Dwight Powell is the only player among the 16 without a fully guaranteed salary, though reports indicate the Mavericks are exploring options to keep him on the roster.
