The Denver Nuggets have waived veteran guard Lonnie Walker IV, according to the NBA's official transaction log. Walker had joined Denver on a non-guaranteed contract for training camp, ensuring the team will carry no dead money from the release. During his preseason stint with the Nuggets, the 27-year-old guard appeared in two games, averaging 2.0 points across 8.6 minutes per contest.
Walker previously entered the league as the 18th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs before later playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, and Philadelphia 76ers. He has also played in the EuroLeague for Zalgiris Kaunas and Maccabi Tel Aviv, and his recent signing with the BeoBasket agency may indicate a return overseas.
