The Los Angeles Clippers have been suggested as a hypothetical sign-and-trade destination for Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren. Cem Yolbulan of NBA on SI proposed that the Clippers pursue the 22-year-old center to pair alongside Darius Garland and Keaton Wagler. However, Detroit has shown no interest in trading Duren and has reportedly turned away teams inquiring about sign-and-trade discussions.
Duren remains unsigned after rejecting a fully guaranteed five-year, $200 million contract extension offer from Detroit. He holds the option to accept a $9.6 million qualifying offer by Oct. 1 to enter unrestricted free agency next summer. A suggested proposal centered around Brandon Ingram or veteran packages remains purely hypothetical while Detroit controls his situation.
