Jalen Duren expected to skip Pistons media day

Detroit Pistons restricted free agent Jalen Duren is expected to miss the team's media day on Monday as contract negotiations remain stalled. Duren is currently not under contract and had considered attending to support his teammates, but he now plans to stay away as training camp approaches.

The Pistons offered Duren a fully guaranteed five-year, $200 million contract, but discussions stalled partly due to a reported weight clause. Duren has until Thursday to accept a $9.6 million qualifying offer, while the Sacramento Kings and Milwaukee Bucks reportedly maintain interest in him.
