The Golden State Warriors have no sensible Walter Clayton Jr. trade despite his availability and interest from the franchise prior to the draft.

The Memphis Grizzlies are reportedly making guard Walter Clayton Jr. and GG Jackson II available in trade talks to trim their roster before opening night. Despite past draft interest from the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat, writer Peter O'Keefe argues the Warriors lack a realistic trade path to acquire Clayton.
O'Keefe highlights that salary mismatches with players like Will Richard and the importance of starter Gui Santos make a trade impractical. Instead, O'Keefe suggests Golden State's only feasible route to sign Clayton would be on a two-way deal if Memphis ultimately waives him.
