With the 10th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, the Milwaukee Bucks selected Brayden Burries out of Arizona, adding an intriguing young piece to their roster.
The Golden State Warriors reportedly intended to select Arizona combo guard Brayden Burries with the No. 11 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft instead of Yaxel Lendeborg. According to ESPN's Anthony Slater, the Warriors would have chosen Burries due to his upside, but the Milwaukee Bucks drafted him at No. 10. Consequently, Golden State pivoted to Lendeborg as an older prospect suited to their immediate timeline alongside Stephen Curry.
Fadeaway World notes that pursuing Burries likely reflected Golden State preparing for the post-Curry era, despite already having guards like Curry and Brandin Podziemski. However, the writer suggests missing out on Burries may benefit the Warriors, as the 23-year-old Lendeborg has earned praise from Steve Kerr and performed well during the preseason.
