Breaking down the Golden State Warriors’ final roster spots, what’s next for their camp invitees and why two-way players could take on bigger roles this season.

The Golden State Warriors must trim their preseason roster from 21 players down to 18 before the October 19 deadline. The final roster is expected to feature 15 standard contracts and three two-way contracts. Twelve standard spots are already locked in, with Georges Niang, Brandon Williams, and Charles Bassey highly likely to secure the remaining three positions. Meanwhile, LJ Cryer, Malevy Leons, and Graham Ike currently occupy the team's three two-way contract spots.
Camp invitees Dalen Terry, Miles Kelly, and Alex Toohey are expected to be waived and sent to the G League's Santa Cruz Warriors if they clear waivers. Head coach Steve Kerr has expressed plans to utilize the team's full depth, including two-way players, to navigate injuries to key players like Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody. Terry and Kelly both put up strong performances in a recent 123-118 preseason loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
