The Rockets might have the league's most unique rising star in Amen Thompson.
Space City Scoop argues that Houston Rockets guard Amen Thompson is developing into a historically unique player following an impressive start to the season. Thompson highlighted his early-season impact with a clutch block on Victor Wembanyama, helping Houston secure a victory following an opening-game blowout win over the Dallas Mavericks.
According to the writer, Thompson's early averages of 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists per game demonstrate remarkable offensive growth and defensive versatility. The article notes that Thompson's strong chemistry with Alperen Sengun is already justifying Houston's recent five-year, $208 million contract extension.
