Dorian Finney-Smith regret is hitting the Rockets a second time

In July, the Houston Rockets traded forward Dorian Finney-Smith along with three future second-round draft picks to shed his contract. On September 22, the Charlotte Hornets traded Finney-Smith to acquire Buddy Hield and Ryan Nembhard without attaching any draft capital to the move.

Finney-Smith is owed approximately $40 million over the next three seasons. Following the trade with Charlotte, Nembhard was promptly waived, while Hield remains an asset who could provide trade value if given playing time.
