Houston Rockets social media manager Hannah Peery has revealed she was diagnosed with skin cancer and is preparing for surgery later this month. She shared the news on Instagram, thanking followers for their support and urging people to get their skin checked regularly.

Peery is leading a fundraising team for MD Anderson's Boot Walk to End Cancer on November 14 at Helix Park. Her advocacy is also inspired by her father, Greg Perry, who previously passed away following his own battle with cancer.
