Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum described playing alongside new teammate Paul George as "surreal" during a preseason game on Saturday night. Boston defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 144-106 at TD Garden, marking the first time Tatum played without former co-star Jaylen Brown on his team. Tatum noted that he idolized George while growing up and modeled his game after him.
George scored 13 points on 3-of-10 shooting over 24 minutes in his first appearance as a Celtic. Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla praised George's instincts and leadership after the win, while Brown watched from the Sixers bench following his move to Philadelphia.
