CHARLOTTE — Jordan Walsh isn’t thrilled with his start to the season. The 22-year-old has played double-digit minutes in every game and has been tasked with guarding the opposing team’s best players, as is customary. But at Celtics shootaround Friday…

Boston Celtics forward Jordan Walsh expressed dissatisfaction with his start to the season ahead of Friday's matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. Speaking at a morning shootaround, the 22-year-old described his performance as merely "okay," noting that while the team is winning, he feels he has not reached his best level. Walsh started the opening five games before moving to the bench for the subsequent three contests.
Walsh is averaging 4.3 points and 3.8 rebounds in 15.4 minutes per game while shooting 38.2% from the field. His playing time has decreased recently with Hugo Gonzalez moving into the starting lineup. Although Walsh acknowledged that his defensive contributions rarely appear on the stat sheet, he emphasized that he must improve his overall impact and meet the standards set by himself and head coach Joe Mazzulla.
