He drained 195 of his 512 attempts from beyond the arc last season, setting a new Spurs single-season franchise record. Champagnie hit 38.1 percent of his three-pointers while averaging over six attempts per game. That outside scoring proved crucial in breaking down defense schemes during San Antonio’s deep postseason run earlier this year.
His professional growth is now matched by a major real estate investment in San Antonio. The 5,068-square-foot estate, built by Burdick Custom Homes in 2021, was originally listed at $3.1 million before Champagnie secured it for $2.34 million. Situated in a gated community listed as an “opulent part of Texas”, the residence offers five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, white oak flooring, and marble finishes. The property includes a main kitchen with Thermador appliances, a secondary prep kitchen, a game room with a bar, and a glass-enclosed wine room. Outside, a covered living area extends to a private pool and spa.
Committing $45 million over three years ensures San Antonio retains an essential role player who helped anchor their recent postseason success. Having competed in the Emirates NBA Cup title game against the New York Knicks, the Spurs are building momentum by retaining key contributors.
