The Sacramento Kings are considering promoting Leaky Black from his two-way contract to a standard NBA deal, according to James Ham of The Kings Beat. The potential move comes after Sacramento agreed to trade wing Nique Clifford to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for two future second-round draft picks.
Following the trade, the Kings have 13 players on standard contracts and have 14 days to meet the league's 14-player roster minimum. The transaction moved Sacramento approximately $6.4 million below the luxury tax and generated a $3.3 million trade exception.
