Sacramento Kings center Maxime Raynaud sustained a right patellar subluxation and will be reevaluated in two weeks, according to NBA insider Marc Stein. Raynaud exited the court in a wheelchair and later used crutches after his knee gave out while setting a screen. Subsequent testing ruled out significant ligament damage.
Although expected to miss the start of the regular season, the diagnosis avoided major structural injury following initial concerns. The 7-foot-1 center is coming off an All-Rookie Second Team campaign where he averaged 12.5 points and 7.5 rebounds across 74 games.
