Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr admitted that center Kristaps Porzingis's ongoing health absence is definitely concerning. Porzingis, whom general manager Mike Dunleavy recently announced is out indefinitely, missed the team's training camp trip to Hawaii. Ahead of a preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers, Kerr confirmed that he had no new medical updates and had not seen the veteran center yet.
Porzingis signed a two-year, $40 million contract with Golden State during the offseason, though only $3 million is guaranteed for the second year. Dunleavy noted that the issue arose suddenly just before media day. In Porzingis's absence, Golden State will lean on young centers Charles Bassey and Graham Ike.
