Lakers insider Jovan Buha suggested that New York Knicks guard Josh Hart could serve as a perfect final piece for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buha noted that if Hart, OG Anunoby, or Mikal Bridges ever became available, any of the three would make significant sense for Los Angeles. Hart originally entered the NBA with the Lakers in 2017 before being traded in the deal that acquired Anthony Davis.
Writer Adel Ahmad notes that Hart brings valuable championship experience, defensive versatility, and elite rebounding from the wing. Hart is currently in the final guaranteed year of a four-year, $80.9 million permanent contract with New York, which holds a team option for 2027-28.
