Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic praised newly acquired big man Sandro Mamukelashvili during preseason, highlighting the 6-foot-10 forward's passing and ball-handling skills. Guard Austin Reaves echoed the praise, stating that Mamukelashvili's high basketball IQ allows him to push the ball like a point guard when securing rebounds.
Mamukelashvili joined the Lakers on a four-year contract worth roughly $52 million. With Walker Kessler sidelined by a finger injury and frontcourt depth currently thin, Mamukelashvili is expected to play a versatile role across power forward and center positions this season.
