Former ESPN anchor Linda Cohn has spoken out regarding the Portland Trail Blazers' decision to fire broadcaster Braiden Bell over offensive teenage social media posts. Speaking on The Linda Cohn Show, Cohn condemned the past comments but questioned how long an individual should face professional consequences for mistakes made at 15 years old.
The 29-year-old Bell lost the play-by-play job shortly after KGW-TV reporter Devon Haskins reported on the past racist and sexist remarks. Bell apologized, stating the posts do not reflect his current values, while KGW's parent company TEGNA has reportedly launched an internal review into the station's editorial reporting process.
