The Los Angeles Lakers added center Walker Kessler this offseason, and the big man is actively working to expand his offensive range out to the 3-point line. Although primarily known as a defensive rim protector during his tenure with the Utah Jazz, Kessler stated at Lakers Media Day that he feels very comfortable taking outside shots after dedicated offseason work.

Kessler made 6-of-8 3-point attempts across five games in the 2025-26 season prior to suffering a shoulder injury. Star teammate Luka Doncic revealed he specifically urged the Lakers front office to acquire Kessler, praising both his rim protection and his offensive growth.
