The Story in 60 Seconds

Former Los Angeles Lakers center Christian Koloko has officially signed with Serbian club Crvena Zvezda after departing the NBA. The move follows his release from the New Orleans Pelicans earlier in October, where he had been on a non-guaranteed Exhibit 9 contract during training camp. Crvena Zvezda brought in Koloko as frontcourt reinforcement due to recent injuries to centers Johnathan Motley and Ebuka Izundu.

Koloko previously spent time in the NBA with the Toronto Raptors, Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Atlanta Hawks across three seasons. Before committing to Crvena Zvezda, he had also received a firm offer from Spanish team Kosner Baskonia. At his new club, Koloko will join several former NBA players as they compete across the Adriatic League, EuroLeague, and Serbian League.
