Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick has been one of Bronny James‘ staunchest defenders over the last two years, but he hasn’t liked what he has seen from the guard in preseason.
Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick stated that Bronny James has not played well through four preseason games. Speaking after the Lakers' 101-89 preseason loss to the Golden State Warriors, Redick noted that James has struggled with rhythm while playing extensive minutes with two-way players and unfamiliar teammates. James went scoreless with four turnovers in 11 minutes during the defeat.
Fadeaway World highlights that James is averaging 2.8 points and 3.0 turnovers per game while shooting 26.7% from the field. With the Lakers needing to trim their roster to 15 players, James is considered a potential trade candidate, though the team is reportedly looking more actively to move or waive other players before the deadline.
