The Los Angeles Lakers spent heavily on role players this summer, and in Friday's loss to the Warriors, they flopped.

Sean Deveney reports that concerns are emerging over the Los Angeles Lakers' $130 million summer acquisitions—Quentin Grimes, Sandro Mamukelashvili, and Collin Sexton—following sluggish early-season contributions. The trio struggled notably during a Friday road loss against the Golden State Warriors, combining for just seven points on 3-for-15 shooting as the Lakers surrendered a 17-point lead.
Deveney highlights that the new signings are failing to justify their substantial contracts through the team's first six games. Grimes is shooting 23.5% from 3-point range, Mamukelashvili is hitting 31.3% of his 3-pointers, and Sexton is averaging 9.6 points on 37.8% shooting. A Western Conference executive suggested the Lakers bid against themselves in free agency.
