Lakers Austin Reaves Lakers Rumors Take Shocking Turn

Austin Reaves has emerged in trade speculation following a sluggish start to the season and lingering defensive fit concerns alongside Luka Doncic. Despite signing a four-year, $185 million contract extension over the summer, early turnover issues have prompted analysts, including podcast host Jovan Buha, to evaluate whether the Los Angeles Lakers could eventually explore a trade ahead of the February deadline.

Reaves cannot be officially moved until January 15, giving the guard time to adjust and improve his play. Through the first seven games, Reaves is averaging 23.1 points and 5.1 assists, but also a career-high 4.6 turnovers, leading analysts to debate whether Los Angeles would prioritize defensive stoppers or another high-level playmaker in any prospective deal.
