A Lakers trade idea doing the rounds would fetch Buddy Hield from the Bulls in exchange for Jaden Hardy and Dalton Knecht.

A trade proposal suggests the Los Angeles Lakers acquire sharpshooter Buddy Hield from the Chicago Bulls in a two-for-one exchange. Under the proposed concept, the Lakers would send guard Jaden Hardy and forward Dalton Knecht to Chicago. This deal would address Los Angeles' roster crunch by trimming their guaranteed contracts down to the mandatory 15-player limit ahead of the regular season.
According to reporting from Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, the Lakers previously explored a two-for-one trade for Hield earlier in the offseason but chose not to finalize it. If general manager Rob Pelinka fails to orchestrate a consolidation trade before the season starts, the team is reportedly expected to waive either Knecht or Hardy.
