Luka’s manager reveals how Lakers coach earned spot in his inner circle

Luka Doncic's business manager Lara Beth Seager revealed how Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach Michael Wexler earned a place in the superstar's inner circle. Speaking about Doncic's transition following his trade from the Dallas Mavericks, Seager explained that Wexler built trust by consistently showing up, letting Doncic be himself during warmups, and avoiding pushing him to talk when he preferred silence.

Wexler, originally hired by head coach JJ Redick as head video coordinator before being promoted to assistant coach, now plays a key role in Doncic's daily routine. In addition to challenging Doncic by simulating elite defenders in physical pregame drills, Wexler also works closely with players like Matisse Thybulle across the Lakers roster.
