The Memphis Grizzlies have started the 2026/27 season with an unexpected 5-0 record, making them the only remaining unbeaten team in the NBA. Memphis recently secured an impressive 21-point road victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday. The hot start marks only the second 5-0 start in franchise history, matching the mark set during the 2014/15 season.
Memphis has thrived under head coach Tuomas Iisalo's 11-man rotation following major offseason roster changes. Rookie Cameron Boozer posted 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists on Thursday, becoming the second-youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double. Meanwhile, former Grizzlies guard Ja Morant suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain during the matchup for Portland.
