Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo expressed confidence that his frontcourt pairing with Giannis Antetokounmpo will succeed despite a difficult start to the regular season. Following a 128-111 loss to the Detroit Pistons, Adebayo said the team will "figure it out" after sharing the floor with Antetokounmpo for just 34 minutes across their first two games, producing a minus-46.9 net rating.
Adebayo struggled with early foul trouble against Detroit, finishing with four points in 23 minutes, while Antetokounmpo recorded 36 points and 12 rebounds. Head coach Erik Spoelstra defended the team's offensive process, noting they generated open perimeter shots against Detroit's paint-packing defense, while teammate Davion Mitchell stressed the need for improved collective defense across the entire roster.
