The Milwaukee Bucks have signed forward Johni Broome to a non-guaranteed training camp deal. To make room for the 6-foot-9 big man on their roster, the franchise announced that they are waiving John Butler Jr., who is expected to rejoin the Wisconsin Herd.
Broome was selected 35th overall in the 2025 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers and spent most of last season on a two-way deal with the Delaware Blue Coats. After an offseason trade to the LA Clippers and a subsequent waiver, Broome will now compete for an open two-way contract with Milwaukee.
