There are some real concerns about LaMelo Ball's injury history and Jonathan Kuminga's fit. If things go south, the Timberwolves will rely on Ayo Dosunmu.

Writer Eamon Cassels argues that Ayo Dosunmu provides vital lineup insurance for the Minnesota Timberwolves following the additions of LaMelo Ball and Jonathan Kuminga. Cassels notes that Ball carries an extensive injury history, while Kuminga presents offensive fit concerns. Dosunmu's all-around skillset as a high-end reserve allows Minnesota flexibility if either starter falters.
According to the analysis, Dosunmu can comfortably enter the starting unit alongside Anthony Edwards, Jaden McDaniels, and Rudy Gobert. Cassels also believes Dosunmu could serve as the team's primary closer due to his superior perimeter shooting and off-ball capabilities compared to Kuminga.
