NBA Partners With Prediction Markets Polymarket, Kalshi

The NBA announced partnership agreements with prediction markets Polymarket and Kalshi on Monday, according to reports from The Athletic and ESPN. The deal grants both companies access to official league data and team logos. In exchange, the NBA retains approval control over offered markets and will collaborate with the platforms to detect suspicious activity and prevent insider trading.

NBA executive vice president Scott Kaufman-Ross noted the league waited for a suitable regulatory framework before finalizing terms. The NBA also entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, as individual states continue legal challenges over prediction market oversight.
