The new-look 76ers were the ones celebrating by the end of the evening.

The Philadelphia 76ers spoiled the New York Knicks' championship banner night with a 106-100 victory at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night. Despite New York celebrating its first title since 1973, Philadelphia pulled away behind a 29-18 third-quarter surge to secure the win.
Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 28 points, while offseason additions Jaylen Brown and LeBron James contributed 19 and 14 points, respectively. The 76ers defense clamped down late, holding Knicks guard Jalen Brunson to 1-for-5 shooting in crunch time.
