A Knicks center move could still be coming before opening night

The New York Knicks may seek to add another center through free agency or a trade before the upcoming NBA season begins. According to a report by James L. Edwards III, the team currently has only Karl-Anthony Towns and Andre Drummond on standard contracts, leaving a notable depth issue in the frontcourt.

While the Knicks signed James Wiseman and Drew Eubanks to training-camp deals, neither player arrived with a guaranteed standard contract. The front office is expected to use the preseason to evaluate whether Wiseman or Eubanks can provide reliable depth before deciding if they need to acquire another center.
